1977 United States, set of 330 cards + 55 stickers (split into 5 separate sets).
Topps Star Wars Cards. The set that started it all, and the favorite set of many a collector. Well, it's not for everyone - but I'm going after a complete PSA graded set with no qualifiers, PSA 9 or better. And in case you think this is easy - it's not. I'm not sending in a NM set, one or two cards at a time. I bought at least 10 NM sets, and many a box of packs, to get just the right cards to make up this single PSA graded set (so far). Perfect centering back and front, minimal to no print defects, zero gum stains, perfect corners, great focus and color - even a PSA 8 is not the easiest to find much less a 9. Here's how I'm doing so far: Star Wars Cards (Topps USA 1977)
Just an interesting note, "Star Wars cards did come in vending boxes. Usually what ever was left over after sales ended, TOPPS would sell to the dealers in vending boxes . I have had many vending boxes over the years of all kinds of non-sports cards, including STAR WARS. TOPPS also sold cards in 'CUT CARD CASES' which contain about 8250 cards. All of the above where sold to DEALERS only, not to the public." Thanks to Charles for that information; he lives about 10 miles from the original Topps plant and buys cards from them frequently.
Pictured are the wrapper variations, a set of wax boxes, a S1 sell sheet, an S2 wrapper roll, and a an S2 vendor box. Plus, some exceptional cards from the various sets.
WANTS FROM THIS SET: Any cards to upgrade my PSA set, anything not pictured.
