TR-17 The Bump-N-Uglies "The Finer Things In Life" CD
This was the first full length undertaking. It was a tough decision, but I decided to go only with CDs and no vinyl. At the time I had stopped collecting LPs (only 7" vinyl and CD) personally, and did not feel that they would sell well or survive long term storage and transport. The cover art was a large (huge!) oil painting on canvas that had to be shipped to the printer and shot down to size with a special camera. The recording was done by Jim Diamond in two sessions, which I got to be present at, a definite highlight in doing the label. The record release party was a huge success, and we really did sell a lot of CDs (50-100 at that one show, the best the label ever did in person). Thanks to the Bump-N-Uglies, this release was almost sold out by the time they were ready with their second release. These guys are relentless at playing shows and shameless self-promotion. This is a great CD too.
