TR-14 The Hybrid Mutants/ Flamin Anus CD
This was another release that was musically sound (I really liked the song "Trenchcoat Mafia" by Flamin Anus, based on the story that was in the news at the time. This would have been the first song on the "Socially Transparent Disease II" CD had that ever came out). The art and printing/packaging was great, and it was even advertised while the bands were still playing shows. Unfortunately, it just didnt sell well and due to the high costs of doing CDs, this was the labels biggest loss as a release. The bands, at least The Hybrid Mutants, sent some (if not all) of the material to other labels as well, so the bands themselves did not help to sell them. The bands are usually the biggest source of sales. In retrospect, I should have had either an exclusivity contract for the material, or some agreement requiring the band to buy a large portion of the release if they didnt sell.
