TR-11 The GC5 "The Price of Security" 7"
This was probably the best release done by Transparent Records, as far as the total package goes. The art was done by Mad Marc Rude, who was well-known at the time for his work with The Misfits, The Battalion of Saints and The Dwarves. Mad Marc Rude died prior to the demise of Transparent Records (R.I.P. Marc). The original art was commissioned for $400.00, and was later sold on eBay for $450.00. From the art, Thingmakers did a spectacular job printing the sleeves on red, white and blue stock with die-cut slits for a full color picture of the band to be inserted in each sleeve. The band logo was done in foil, to match each sleeve color and the inserts were done on a nice heavy stock paper. In addition to the intricate work on the sleeve, custom made guitar picks were added to each color vinyl version of the record. And of course, the music is top notch. This was one of only several releases that could have sold many hundreds more copies than were actually pressed.
