TR-02: Plan III "Wood Alcohol Is Not For Drinking" 7"
This release was recorded locally by Jim Diamond at Ghetto Recorders, funded by Transparent Records. Marc Watt of the local band The Dirtys was another personal friend. The bass player for Plan III (Greg Keg) was Marc Watts brother-in-law, hence the choice of Plan III as the second release. Another factor was that Plan III actually played hardcore, versus the garage rock that Johnny Motel and The Fast Fucks were playing, and Transparent Records was always intended to be a hardcore label. Greg Keg and I did the layout for the sleeve one evening in my basement, the printing was done at a Clarkston printer (Spectrum Printing), and this one was complete. Plan III also played a few local shows, which were for the most part were without incident. Due to heroin addictions, strained relationships, and lack of funds, this was a short-lived band. There is a DAT full of songs that Plan III did prior to their Transparent Records release that exists, and was never released. One Plan III song was also released on a Beer City Records compilation CD.
