TR-01: Johnny Motel and The Fast Fucks 7"
This release was recorded locally by Tim Pak at Woodshed Studio, funded by Transparent Records who were on site for the recording. At this time (early 1996) Transparent Records was myself and a partner who bailed mid way through this release. Grayson, the guitarist for Johnny Motel and the Fast Fucks, was a personal friend and the basis for this selection as the first release. With Transparent Records funding, Grayson designed the sleeves and had them printed, while I did the mastering and pressing of the vinyl. Colleen did the inserts, which were literally hated by Johnny Motel. At the insistence of Johnny Motel, the inserts were deleted and only ended up in a very few of the records. Johnny Motel and the Fast Fucks played a few shows while they were together, all of which ended in chaos, injury, nudity, drunkenness, destruction of property, and eventually arrests. Johnny Motel and the Fast Fucks have no releases other than the 7" on Transparent Records, their cover song on the Transparent Records 2x7" Tribute to The Dwarves and the one song on the Transparent Records CD sampler.
